FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS FIVE KILLED

ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS JANUARY 21 - 23

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, January 21, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, January 23, at midnight.

Three fatalities resulted from single-vehicle collisions, and one person was killed in a two-vehicle collision. The fifth person died as a result of a head-on collision. None of the five people killed were wearing seat belts.
