S. C. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY PROMOTES

SANDRA MCLEOD TO SERGEANT

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety today announced that Sandra F. McLeod has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and will continue to work in the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Training Office. The promotion was effective February 2.

Sgt. McLeod will assist in the planning and implementation of the Highway Patrol’s training programs for new troopers as well as in-service and continuing education training for current troopers.

McLeod has served with the Highway Patrol since 1985. McLeod was a trooper in Camden from 1987 to 1994 when she joined the Training staff at Highway Patrol Headquarters. She was promoted to the rank of corporal in 1995.

"Sgt. McLeod has demonstrated her dedication to upholding the Highway Patrol’s exemplary training standards," said Colonel Ralph Mobley, South Carolina Highway Patrol. "She is truly a credit to the Highway Patrol and a valuable public servant to the citizens of South Carolina."

McLeod attended Lugoff Elgin High School. She currently resides in Camden with her husband Frank McLeod Jr. and children, Courtney Moak, 17, and Ashley McLeod, 19. She is a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
