FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS EIGHT KILLED

ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS APRIL 14-16

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of eight people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, April 14, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, April 16, at midnight.

Four people died in four separate single-vehicle collisions. Two motorcyclists were killed (helmet usage unknown) and two pedestrians were struck and killed. So far this year, 303 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 261 at this time last year.
