FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS FIVE KILLED

ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS MAY 5 - 7

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, May 5, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, May 7, at midnight.

Five people died in four separate single-vehicle collisions. Of these single-vehicle collisions, one involved a motorcycle and one involved an all-terrain vehicle. So far this year, 351 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 322 at this time last year.
