FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS FIVE KILLED
ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS JULY 28 - 30
COLUMBIA The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, July 28, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, July 30, at midnight.
Three people were killed when the vehicles they were driving struck trees. Another person died when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving. Of the five people who died in collisions, only one was wearing a seat belt. So far this year, 621 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 593 at this time last year.
