FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS EIGHT KILLED
ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS AUGUST 11 - 13
COLUMBIA The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of eight people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, August 11, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, August 13, at midnight.
Two people were killed in separate single-vehicle collisions when the cars in which they were riding overturned. Five people were killed in three separate two-vehicle collisions. One motorcyclist died in a collision with another vehicle. So far this year, 663 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 634 at this time last year.
