FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS EIGHT KILLED
ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS AUGUST 18 - 20
COLUMBIA The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of eight people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, August 18, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, August 20, at midnight.
Two bicyclists died in separate collisions with cars, one pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle and one motorcyclist died when he collided with another vehicle. So far this year, 682 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 663 at this time last year.
