COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol will have new Community Relations Officers, effective September 15, throughout all seven districts. Following is a list of the new community relations officers and the former public information officers that they will be succeeding. The new community relations officers will be the official Highway Patrol contact for media inquiries regarding traffic questions, collisions etc. Highway Patrol policy questions should continue to be routed through the DPS Office of Executive Affairs.
