FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS EIGHT KILLED

ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS NOVEMBER 17-19

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of eight people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, November 17, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, November 19, at midnight.

Five people were killed in four single-vehicle collisions when their vehicles ran off the road and either overturned or struck a tree. Three other people died in separate two-vehicle collisions.

As of November 19, 942 people had died on South Carolina highways, compared to 944 last year at this time.
