FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS SIX KILLED
ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS DECEMBER 8-10
COLUMBIA The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of six people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, December 8, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, December 10, at midnight.
One bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle. One motorcyclist died when the motorcycle he was driving hit a road sign. One person was killed when the vehicle she was driving overturned. Three others were killed in three separate two-vehicle collisions; one of those was a three-month-old infant.
As of December 10, 1,011 people had died on South Carolina highways, compared to 1,006 last year at this time.
