COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces that the DMV branch office at 3790 Leeds Avenue and the Dealer Central branch office at 8740 North Park Boulevard are closed completely due to equipment failures. Employees have been sent to work at other area DMV branches and customers are being directed to other DMV branch offices in the area.

DMV believes the equipment failures may be tied to a possible telephone line problem in the area. The estimated repair time is unknown.

Customers are asked to visit one of the other DMV branches in the area:
