FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS FIVE KILLED
ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS JUNE 29- JULY 1
COLUMBIA The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, June 29, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, July 1, at midnight.
One person died after being thrown from the back of a truck and two pedestrians were struck and killed. Two others, neither of whom was wearing seat belts, died in separate collisions.
As of July 2, 447 people had died on South Carolina highways, compared to 540 last year at this time.
