FOUR ARRESTED, MARJUANA AND CASH SEIZED

COLUMBIA - The South Carolina Highway Patrol working in conjunction with the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Department and the Greenwood City Police Department Thursday arrested four people in connection with the delivery of 15 pounds of marijuana.

A Georgia vehicle driver by Cinderella W. Hughley of Lawrenceville, Ga., was stopped shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday on Interstate-85 for speeding. A search of the vehicle uncovered the marijuana in 15 plastic baggies stuffed inside a VCR box. Ms. Hughley and a passenger, Regineld Mosley, also of Lawrenceville, Ga., were charged with trafficking marijuana and conspiracy to traffic marijuana.

Greenwood authorities were called in to make a controlled delivery of the drugs, resulting in the arrest of Damien D. Chamberlain and Tonya M. Weston, both of Greenwood.

The marijuana seized had a street value of $36,000. In addition, $10,000 in cash also was seized.
