FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS FIVE KILLED
ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS APRIL 13 - 15
COLUMBIA The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, April 13, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, April 15, at midnight.
One pedestrian was struck and killed on highway 61 near Interstate-95 while two men died when their vehicle struck a tree. In a separate collision, the driver of a pick up truck was pinned beneath his vehicle after it overturned. And a Clemson man died after his vehicle ran off the road in Pickens County
As of April 15, 251people had died on South Carolina highways, compared to 306 last year at this time.
