COLUMBIA - The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces that State Transport Police Senior Office James W. Eagleson was recently recognized by the Department of Revenue for his outstanding efforts in support of the South Carolina Dyed Fuel Inspection Program.

From October 2000 to September 2001, Eagleson led the state in performing 231 diesel inspections, writing 60 violations for the unlawful use of dyed fuel, which resulted in $116,630 in penalties.
