COLUMBIA - The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following event:

Who: South Carolina State Transport Police, South Carolina Highway Patrol

What: Will participate in an enforcement exercise designed to prepare for the possibility of weapons grade plutonium arriving at the state’s border.

When: Monday, April 22, 10 a.m. (Media advised to be at staging area at the intersection of U.S. 278 and S.C. 19 at 9:30 a.m.)

Where: New Ellenton, S.C. at the intersection of U.S. 278 and S.C. 19.

** Any television stations bringing satellite trucks need to be there and set up no later than 9:30 a.m.
