COLUMBIA - The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following media opportunity:

Who: South Carolina Department of Public Safety, South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Association and all law enforcement agencies in South Carolina

What: The annual South Carolina Police Memorial Service to honor all active and retired law enforcement officers who died in 2001. Law enforcement officers from across South Carolina and survivors of the deceased officers will attend. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the Memorial Service.

When: 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 1

Where: Criminal Justice Academy gymnasium, South Carolina Department of

Public Safety, 5400 Broad River Road, Columbia.
