STATE TRANSPORT POLICE ANNOUNCES

EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER AWARDS

COLUMBIA - The State Transport Police, a division of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, recognized its outstanding employees as Employees of the Quarter at a recent awards ceremony.

Col. Anna J. Amos, deputy director of the State Transport Police, presents the awards quarterly to employees for outstanding achievement. The winners are selected by the managers in each particular area of operation.

Award recipients for the first quarter of 2002 are:

Upper State Enforcement Region: Lance Corp. Max Forster of Seneca
Lower State Enforcement Region: Sen. Officer James Eagleson of Florence
Special Operations: Lance Corp. David Duffy of Florence
Weight Specialist Services: Raymond Baumgartel of Anderson
Motor Carrier Services: George Taylor of Gaston
Administrative: Trish Burwell of Columbia

The State Transport Police is responsible for the enforcement and administration of state and federal laws governing commercial motor vehicles.
