COLUMBIA - The State Transport Police, a division of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, has named Lance Corporal Max F. Forster the Employee of the Quarter for the Upper State Enforcement Region. The upper state region covers 25 counties including Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens, Oconee and Anderson.

Forster works out of the Greenville district of the State Transport Police. He lives in Seneca with his wife Sharon and son Max.

Col. Anna J. Amos, deputy director of the State Transport Police, presents the awards quarterly to employees for outstanding achievement. The winners are selected by the managers in each particular area of operation.

The State Transport Police is responsible for the enforcement and administration of state and federal laws governing commercial motor vehicles.
