COLUMBIA - The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces that an additional 30 DMV offices will re-open today after being closed for a week for conversion to the new Project Phoenix technology. If you are interested in visiting one of those offices, please contact the Office of Executive Affairs (803-896-8755) for clearance before you visit.

Also, this is the first day many of the offices have been opened in a week, so the offices will likely be congested. Please limit your coverage to photography or interviews with customers in line. We ask that media representatives be careful not to interfere with traffic flow in the offices.
