COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will open six of its high-traffic offices in the state on Saturdays beginning June 7 through the month of August. The following DMV offices will offer Saturday services:

Aiken DMV

Greenville DMV

Irmo-Ballentine DMV

Irmo, SC 29063

Rock Hill DMV

305 Hands Mill Road

Rock Hill, SC 29732

Office hours are 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. All services will be offered with the exception of commercial driver’s license (CDL) road tests and the issuance of non-U.S. citizen credentials. These offices will not offer Saturday services on July 5 and August 30 due to state holiday closings.

These six offices were chosen in an effort to provide regional coverage to the entire state. DMV will evaluate customer response to Saturday services to determine whether the program warrants continuation and/or expansion.

Editor’s Note: Any media covering the extended service hours are asked to please speak with customers outside the office, either before or after they have conducted their transactions. In order to maintain optimal customer service levels, DMV employees will not be able to speak with the media
