FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS 10 KILLED 

ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS APRIL 8- APRIL 10

 

COLUMBIA -- The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of 10 people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, April 8, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, April 10, at midnight.

 

As of April 10, 2005, 280 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 262 last year. Of the 223 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2005, 172 were not wearing seat belts. These are preliminary numbers and are subject to change.
