FATALITY REPORT: DPS REPORTS TWO KILLED 

ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS APRIL 15- APRIL 17

 

COLUMBIA -- The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of two people killed on South Carolina highways from Friday, April 15, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, April 17, at midnight.

 

As of April 17, 2005, 293 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 279 last year. Of the 231 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2005, 177 were not wearing seat belts. These are preliminary numbers and are subject to change.
