TIP LEADS HIGHWAY PATROL TO ARREST IN RICHLAND COUNTY HIT AND RUN

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Highway Patrol has made an arrest in a hit-and-run collision that occurred in Richland County on March 31, 2006.

Brint Grayson, 27, was arrested Thursday night at his Romain Drive home by Highway Patrol Troopers.

Troopers tracked him down after receiving a phone call from a person who gave a description of the vehicle officers believed the suspect was driving. Troopers said there was damage to Grayson’s vehicle, a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta, and that the windshield had recently been replaced on the vehicle.

Grayson has been charged with leaving the scene involving great bodily injury.

Ray Milam, the victim in the hit and run, was struck while walking with his children in a local neighborhood. Milam has since been released from the hospital.
