COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following:

 

Who:               South Carolina Highway Patrol, SCDOT, family of Trooper Randall Lamar Hester who was killed in the line of duty in 1994

 

When:             10 a.m., Monday, July 10

 

Where:            Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 13024 Highway 20, Belton

 

What:              Ceremony remembering the life of Trooper Hester; unveiling of a sign naming a portion of SC 20 in Trooper Hester’s memory. He was killed in the line of duty on April 20, 1994, in a motor vehicle collision. He served in Anderson County from 1991-1994. Hester was an Oconee County native.
