COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety and the South Carolina Department of Transportation announce the following event:

Who: South Carolina Highway Patrol and SCDOT

What: Dedication of the I-95/U.S. 378 overpass in honor of Senior Trooper Jonathan Parker, who was killed in the line of duty on May 16, 2005.

When: Wednesday, October 11, 2006, 11 a.m.

Where: 7585 Myrtle Beach Highway (US 378) on the west side of interchange. (In case of inclement weather the dedication ceremony will be held at the Fairfield Inn, 2390 Broad Street Ext. in Sumter).
