COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following event:

Who: South Carolina Highway Patrol, SC Department of Natural Resources, State Transport Police and local law enforcement

What: Two law enforcement/media briefings to kick off aerial enforcement campaign (on I-20), which begins Independence Day enforcement efforts.

** The Highway Patrol and SCDNR will conduct increased enforcement efforts beginning tomorrow and running through July 8 to cover the weekend before and after the holiday.

When: Lexington: Thursday, June 28, 1:30 p.m.

Aiken: Friday, June 29, 11 a.m.

Where: Lexington: I-20 Westbound Weigh Station near the 54 mile marker;

Aiken: Aiken County Airport, 129 Aviation Blvd.
