  THIRD ANNUAL SCDPS SAFETY FAIR FOCUSES ON KEEPING CHILDREN HEALTHY AND SAFE

COLUMBIA -- The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following upcoming event:

 

Who:          SC Department of Public Safety in conjunction with local and state law enforcement agencies, first responders, and community health and

safety partners.

 

 ** Free and open to the public. Groups (more than 10) must register in advance.

 

What:        Third Annual SCDPS Children’s Health and Safety Fair: Will feature fun and interactive exhibits designed to help children learn about safety including buckling up, bike safety, water safety, nutrition, exercise, etc. ** More than 400 children are registered to attend.

 

                   Midlands Safe Kids led by Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital will hold a Child Passenger Safety seat check/installation where they will show parents/caregivers how to properly install safety seats. Parents may sign up in advance by calling Ms. Courtney Smith at the Highway Patrol at 803-896-8769.

 

When:        Friday, June 20, 2008: 9:30 a.m. – Noon
