COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following news event:

 

WHAT:        Rest Area/Welcome Center Safety Events/MEDIA AVAILABILITY to talk about Labor Day travel

 

** Troopers and officers from SC Department of Public Safety will be distributing safety literature to motorists travelling for the Labor Day weekend. This effort will be held in conjunction with the Sober or Slammer campaign to educate motorists about impaired driving and other highway safety issues. Troopers will be available to answer questions about child passenger safety and other safety concerns.

 

WHO:          SC Highway Patrol, State Transport Police, SCDPS Families of Highway Fatalities
