SC Families of Highway Fatalities, Highway Patrol Hold Third Annual Blood Drive in Columbia

COLUMBIA – The S.C. Department of Public Safety announces the following event:

Who: South Carolina Highway Patrol, Families of Highway Fatalities, American Red Cross

What: Third Annual Columbia Blood Drive: In memory of 1,000 killed each year on South Carolina highways

When: Thursday, July 2, 1 p.m.-7 p.m.

Where: Fuddruckers Restaurant, 1801 Bush River Road

The Families of Highway Fatalities holds two blood drives each year to honor and remember those lost on the highways by giving the gift of life to help save the lives of others. This year, the blood drive will be held in memory of Wesley Beasley, son of Chuck and Judy Beasley, who was killed in a Lee county collision in 2005 when he was 18.
