South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) announces the following:

WHO:             SCDPS and local law enforcement agencies

WHAT:           2009 Law Enforcement DUI Challenge and Sober or Slammer! Kick-off:

• Ceremony to award up to 16 outfitted Dodge Chargers police vehicles and Chevrolet Tahoe police vehicles to SC local law enforcement agencies for achievements in DUI enforcement.

• Launch of the Sober or Slammer! Christmas/New Year’s DUI Enforcement Crackdown, part of a nationwide effort to reduce traffic-related injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers.
