- Conduct a news conference

- Safety Presentations

- Distribution of safety literature
- Safety video presentation
- Poster contest
- Post message on Websites (agency-community or personal)
- Write letters to civic officials asking them to speak out about safety
- Make and distribute yard signs near school
- Write 'Thank You' letters to law enforcement officers for enforcing school zone laws.
- Write ‘Thank you’ letter to crossing guards for keeping children safe
- Encourage everyone in your agency or school to start for work/school 20 minutes earlier this week
- Ask local fast food places to post flyers about School Zone Safety.
- Collect funds for a flashing speed limit sign for your school zone
